Blizzard has stated that the class was lacking and in need of some improvements, and yet for all of their talk, virtually nothing was done to help them in Burning Crusade. They stated for patch 2.4, that they wanted to give one of the eve online isk trees, some viability in 2v2 arena. But they didn't. Sure there were some minor buffs, but not what was needed to really compete. We will state this though, as far as a raiding shaman is concerned, we do well. We have good output in terms of raw DPS, and our totems help those in our group. Enhance shaman also are fairing very well because they actually buff melee much better than elementals do.
